Template File Storage
BlueLite X1 Templates are stored in individual files on your hard disk. They are normally located at: \Program Files\BlueLite X1\Templates\<Some Folder>\<Template Name>.tpl Note that <Some Folder> is typically a manufacturer's name (ex. VariLite). Templates must reside in a subfolder. They cannot be placed in the root (Templates) folder. Once a template file (.tpl) is placed in a subfolder, it will become available the next time BlueLite X1 is started. You do not need to distribute Template files with your Show (.x1) files. A Show file contains everything that it needs to play. Downloading You can either download templates by selecting attachments in the message below, or by going to the BlueLite X1 Template Download page. But, either way, be forewarned that these templates are being provided by other users and have not been tested by Innovate Show Controls. Uploading If you want to share a Template with other users, attach it to a message in this forum. To make things easy on potential downloaders, try to adhere to the following: Subject Line: Manufacturer, Full Model Name Message Body: A brief description of any unique features, and complete details on DMX configuration (profile settings, etc.) for the fixture. End the message with a signature line. This is how you will be credited for the template when it is moved to the Template Download page. Attachment Description: Manufacturer, Full Model Name (DMX mode) Feedback If you have trouble, comments, or suggestions about a template, reply to the message here. -jjf |

Where do I need to put this file when I download? It gives me options. I tried to place it in my C drive and desktop, but neither one gets it to the Bluelight template library. MY OS is windows XP.

Hello Brugerlive,
You should be able to download the template straight to a sub folder in the Bluelite X1 template folder. When you click on the template click save when asked and find programme files then X1 then templates then open one of the folders in that folder Chauvet for instance then click save. When you open X1 next the template will be available for you to you use from the Chauvet file.

OK got it, but I have 1 ?, why the box checked for grand master controled for the colors? I would think that you'd want the dimmer only checked, or you would alter your intensity ithe master fader and possibly alter the color if you use combo colors in the same fixture that have different values. e.g. a violet you have chosen may have a blue value of 250 and a red value of 125, once the master fader brings that red value to 0, you're left with just blue.

You are right I have just had another look at it. I did write the template but as I mentioned I do not have any way of trying some templates so feedback is appreciated. All you have to do is untick the the GM controlled boxes and save the changes. If you experiment with the templates it should help you when you come to create your own.
