This is part of the message I received when I emailed them:
"Good Day, You may need the new version of the Master PCB for that unit. The newer PCB can handle the high refresh rate that the high end controllers uses to send DMX signal......" Unfortunately, I'm in Canada and have not been able to convince the Canadian distributor that there is a problem. Hopefully newer units are OK as I've found a buyer for mine. BJ |

Well, I feel like I've been screwed by Chauvet. Tech support USA advised me of the new PCB that will solve the problem. I sold my old units with the assurance from the Chauvet Canadian distributor that the new units I ordered would have the new PCB. I got them in, tested, and they flicker. Canadian distributor is clueless to the problem- they attribute it to user error since it works fine for them with their controller.
I finally nailed down a part # for the replacement PCB, asked Canada about it and they want $25 for each one. Plus shipping to me for me to install. I'm a dealer, and I can't get a break from these guys. Arrg. |
